If you’re a fan of model railroads or just want to hang out and see what’s happened to the industry since you were a kid and had your own set, come out to the New Braunfels Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday, March 17th and 18th. Here you’ll find vendors from all over the country who are selling model and full-sized railroad accessories and paraphernalia. With five full model train layouts, there is something for everyone to see.
Two model trains pass by a replica of the Ferdinand Lindheimer home, all made with Lego parts.
One of the most popular layouts is the one made by the Lego Train Club. The trains, as well as all the buildings and people, are all made from Legos, that plastic toy we all love. Another favorite, especially among the younger crowd, is the “Kids Run The Train” section. Here, children 10 and under are given some instruction about how to work the controls, then allowed to be the conductor.
When: Saturday, March 17, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 18, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: New Braunfels Convention Center, 375 South Castell Avenue New Braunfels,Texas.
